Atlantic Crossing | West-East

Atlantic Crossing West East – For old salts and those who are newbies to sailing. You will be a 100% sailor afterwards!

The Atlantic crossing from West to East from the British Virgin Islands to Horta on Faial / Azores is the more demanding route from the Caribbean back to Europe. The distance is roughly 2.400 nautical miles. No land in between. Just you, your fellow sailors, water, wind and waves. This is the dream of a lifetime of many sailors. Crossing the Atlantic once. We sail in a very well maintained Jeanneau First 47.7ft Race Cruiser with a very experienced Skipper. Guests can help set and trim the sails and take part in the night watches and also stand at the helm yourself. If you ask us before coming aboard, we are happy to give you a free sail course during the trip. However, if you miss anything, please let us know. “Everything is possible, nothing is necessary”

What´s included?

All prices are calculated as per person in a double cabin. We have 4x cabins on our yacht. The offer includes also food on board. This includes also fresh filter coffee, tea and water. Our service includes the daily cabin service, a rich breakfast buffet, a light 2-course lunch at noon, coffee, tea and cake in the afternoon, and a 3-course dinner in the evening. Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome drink and on the last evening the Captain’s Dinner will be served.

Other drinks, like special coffee (Nespresso), alcoholic and soft drinks, are available at additional costs and our crew will be happy to serve them on deck while sailing.

One evening a week, all guests eat at their own expense on land to get to know the local cuisine. (except Atlantic crossings, obviously)

Not included in the tour price: arrival and departure (flights, transfers from/to the airport), shore excursions, onboard water sports and, if required, visa and local land charges. Tips for the crew are greatly appreciated at the end of the cruise.

Our sailing cruises can always be booked as single person, cabin (2 pax) or full charter (6x pax max). For individual trips, a minimum number of min. 4 participants is required.

For single occupancy of a double cabin a surcharge is applicable (50% off season and 80% in high season – calendar weeks 31-35, at regattas and New Year’s Eve). However, you also have the option of booking a single berth for yourself. In our Deluxe Cabins we can separate the beds so you can share a cabin with a fellow passenger of the same gender at no extra cost.
